The pieces of this exceptional vintage George VI sterling silver canteen of cutlery for twelve persons have been crafted in the Hanoverian rat tail pattern. The surface of each handle is plain and unembellished, apart from a pip to the anterior terminal. The silver spoons feature impressive rat tail ornamentation to the reverse of the bowl. The original sterling silver forks have three tines/prongs; a fine and desirable feature of the service.
