Fereshteh Stoecklein artistic journey began at the impressionist school of painting ‘Ecole des Arts Français’. Her husband’s career as a hotelier of a luxury hotel chain meant living in many different countries, so to her exploration of art followed suit. In Malaysia, she was inspired by Chinese brush painting, studying under three masters in the art of calligraphy, Chinese ink and colour brush painting.
Her versatility as an artist has expanded such that she has painted Chinese brush to watercolours to abstract acrylics - a truly astounding creative palette. Always producing exquisite abstract works taking their inspiration from nature, places she has visited and people she has observed. An award winning artist, Fereshteh’s works have been exhibited in a number of international exhibitions including ‘Art Now’ at Oxo Tower London, the Autoren Gallery Yearly Exhibition in Munich. Germany and the Affordable Art Fair, London in 2020.to

Fereshteh studied the art of Chinese calligraphy and brush painting from 3 masters of Chinese art when she lived in the Far East. Her paintings are colourful and brush strokes are spontaneous, which comes from her deep impulses and passion. She creates colour symphony from the emotions coming from within and is influenced by the nature and people.

Julia Adams comments: I use a variety of mixed media to produce my work – household glosses, spray paints, acrylics, inks and various printing techniques, rarely using a paintbrush! I like to apply paint with real freedom and spontaneity to produce paintings that have energy and depth, exploring my passion for surface quality, colour, texture and tactility.” “My series of ‘Interior Spaces’ paintings have been very popular and are constantly evolving. As a starting point I use a found image or one of my own photographs, adding or removing elements as I feel necessary to enhance the composition. I then start to play with my materials, constantly adding and subtracting. I will often include abstract stencilling to add a sense of drama, and introduce rivets to add further interest. I also enjoy including text, whether stencilled or found words in magazines.
