Jean Jannel Figurative Drawings and Watercolors
Jean Jannel was born in Paris on April 20, 1894. He was a pupil of Luc Olivier Merson at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris and exhibited at the Salons des Artistes Français and Salons des Indépendants. Painter of femininity, his wife was his exclusive model. Jannel was an active member of the Cercle des Peintres des Deux-Monts, who was located at 13 boulevard Malesherbes near the Church of the Madeleine in Paris, whose purpose was to offer a meeting place and exhibition space for artists from Montmartre and Montparnasse.
