These exceptional antique George III English sterling silver candlesticks have a circular rounded knopped form to a circular spreading base.
The bell shaped capitals are encompassed with bright cut engraved foliate designs, accented with scalloped and undulating wrigglework ornamentation.
Each capital retains the original detachable push fit sconce, embellished with a tooled decorated border to the rim.
The knops baluster shaped columns is embellished with applied rope twist decorated borders flanked with further undulating wrigglework ornamentation.
The upper portion of each column is ornamented with further scallop and leaf decoration, reflecting that to the capital.
