Marcel Giraud Figurative Sculptures
Marcel Giraud was born in 1937 in Vallauris, France. He left school at the age of 13 to become an apprentice potter at the workshop of Blaise Rubino. He later worked at several other workshops in the area until he opened his own studio in 1960, creating mostly utilitarian ware. Since 1975, Giraud has taken up painting, sculpture and continues to create sculptural figures, animals and other decorative objects in his retirement.

This very rare Pole measures 8" in diameter and stands 7.5 feet tall. This is one of the rare historic Totem pole that survived the late 19th century ban of Totem poles.
