A rare Martin Brothers miniature stoneware art pottery vase decorated in brown glazes by Walter Martin and believed to date from the 19th century. This lovely little vase is of rounded bulbous with a narrow rounded foot and a funnel shaped neck with rounded opening. The vase is decorated in brown glazes with a slight textured finish in places with an exposed underlying white glaze revealed around the foot and top rim. This finely made stoneware vase is of rounded bulbous shape standing on a narrow round pedestal foot and with a narrow funnel neck top with a wide folded back rim. The body of the vase is hand decorated with flowering stems decorated in white and brown slips with bluey grey centres to the blooms and set against a fine shagreen rough cast ground.
