Bedside table in the 70s mirrored
By Aldo Tura
Located in Catania, IT
Couple bedside tables from the 70s, mirrored smoked glass top, brass beaded, three drawers with steel knobs. Italian production. Aldo Tura Italian designer, from the 50s, inspired by the movements of Art Deco and modernism, creates unique and prestigious furniture characterised by rich materials, sculptural shapes and exclusive techniques.
Exotic materials such as parchment and goatskin, combined with bright shades of red, green and yellow characterise his art. Tura favours the use of complex shapes and techniques that are difficult to reproduce in a large-scale production to maintain the authenticity of its pieces. Inspired by Art Deco and modernism, Tura-style objects are always the result of a meticulous process, at the time not replicable in an industrial way, which is why the number of the designer's pieces remains limited and highly sought after on the market, also for the typical colour combinations between materials and finishes that characterise them, often articulated on red, brass, a A portion of Tura's furniture is on display in the permanent collection of the Brooklyn Museum in New York, after being exhibited in the grand exhibition...

Space Age Night Stands in the style of Luigi Massoni in Chrome & Leather, 70s
By Luigi Massoni, Poltrona Frau
Located in Roma, IT
A pair of truly special space age nightstands, which you can place on the sides of a bed or join them in a single large chest of drawers, all this by moving them comfortably thanks to the wheels with which they are equipped.
Most likely made in Italy, these vintage nightstands have no labels or brands that attest to their attribution but the sinuous curves and the use of leather to cover the wooden structure are very reminiscent of the works of designer Luigi Massoni for the historic Italian company Poltrona Frau .
The decorative details are what I love most about these 70s bedside...
