French, 1929-2008
Roger Mühl , born 20 December 1929 in Strasbourg , died 4 April 2008 in Mougins, was a painter , draftsman and sculptor French. He joined the National School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg where he graduated in 1948 to go to the territory of Belfort. He settled in 1954 in Montreux-Chateau and had his first exhibition in Paris at the Galerie de Paris in 1960. Then he went to Geneva, London, Milan, Dallas, Cologne, Stuttgart, Tokyo, Kyoto, Belfort and New York . He basically worked on the French Riviera.

This well-listed painter, draftsman and sculptor first studied at the Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg where he was influenced by the works of Nicolas de Staël. Before first exhibiting in Paris at the Galerie de Paris in 1960, Muhl was commissioned in 1953 by the Ministry of National Education in Mulhouse and in 1960 by the Archives of the City of Colmar. The recipient of numerous awards and prizes, Muhl exhibited internationally with success, including in Japan, England, Switzerland, France and America.
