A rare Mickey Mouse car mascot, British, circa 1930, made of bronze Nickel plating, with engraved inscription around the base 'Reproduced By Consent of Walter E. Disney', depicting the film star in jaunty pose, one hand on hip the other giving 'thumbs-up' sign, with pie-crust eye and one eye winking. This is the rarest of Disney’s car Mascots. Mounted over a marble base. It measures 14.5 cm plus the base. Mickey Mouse is a funny animal cartoon character and the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company. He was created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks at the Walt Disney studios in 1928. In 1978, Mickey became the first cartoon character to have a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. Beginning in 1930, Mickey has also been featured extensively as a comic strip character. His self-titled newspaper strip, drawn primarily by Floyd Gottfredson, ran for 45 years. Mickey has also appeared in comic books and in television series such as the Mickey Mouse Club (1955–1996) and others. He also appears in other media such as video games as well as merchandising, and is a meetable character at the Disney parks.

Featuring a signed card by Walt Disney and two photographs, this collage is a wonderful tribute to a man that set the standard for an entire motion picture industry. Written in his own whimsical handwriting, Disney signed the card, “Best wishes, Walt Disney.” All elements are framed together in a custom build archival frame. Walt Disney was a motion-picture producer, pioneer of animated cartoons films, and the founder of both DisneyLand and DisneyWorld. Disney started his career with animated shorts, partnering with artist Ub Iwerks to create beloved characters that are still admired today. Disney found success only after a series of failures. He went bankrupt, moved to California, and opened up a new studio only to lose all profit by pairing with Universal Studios. He found success when his animated short films gained wild popularity, especially those featuring his novel character, Mickey Mouse (formerly Mortimer Mouse). Walter Elias Disney (December 5, 1901–December 15, 1966) was an American entrepreneur, animator, voice actor and film producer. A Pioneer of the American animation industry, he introduced several developments in the production of cartoons. As a film producer, Disney holds the record for most Academy Awards earned by an individual, having won 22 Oscars from 59 nominations. He was presented with two Golden Globe Special Achievement Awards and an Emmy Award, among other honors. Several of his films are included in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress. Born in Chicago in 1901, Disney developed an early interest in drawing. He took art classes as a boy and got a job as a commercial illustrator at the age of 18. He moved to California in the early 1920s and set up the Disney Brothers Studio with his brother Roy. With Ub Iwerks, Walt developed the character Mickey Mouse in 1928, his first highly popular success; he also provided the voice for his creation in the early years. As the studio grew, Disney became more adventurous, introducing synchronized sound, full-color three-strip Technicolor, feature-length cartoons and technical developments in cameras. The results, seen in features such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), Pinocchio, Fantasia (both 1940), Dumbo (1941), and Bambi (1942), furthered the development of animated film. New animated and live-action films followed after World War II, including the critically successful Cinderella (1950) and Mary Poppins (1964), the latter of which received five Academy Awards. In the 1950s, Disney expanded into the amusement park industry, and in 1955 he opened Disneyland.
