18th Century Louis XIV Wrought Iron Console with Soleil Symbol/Fleur-de-Lis

Rare Louis XIV, Sun King, period wall console dates to the very beginning of the 1700s and has quite a unique design. The console has two pronounced curved legs at the front sides meant to rest against the wall. Each leg is connected by an impressive foliate designs, with a beautiful fleur-de-Lis central reserve. The powerful apron displays scrolled movements centering a fine carved sun symbol reserve. Each side is decorated in the same fashion. The serpentine shaped marble on this piece is of a beautiful color and typical of the period.
