"For 26 years, I have been exhibiting, painting and living in my creative universe. I alternate 6 months of painting and 6 months of exhibiting in my gallery in L'isle-sur-la-Sorgue. Previously, I studied textile design (which is apparent in my work), cultural management and the history of art in Paris.
I began exhibiting my work in France and abroad in 1994. In 1997, I opened my first permanent exhibition space in Gordes until 2012. In 2014, I moved to L'isle-sur-la-Sorgue.
My paintings invite you to open yourself to a universe of tales, dreams and poetry...

Born Lithuania, Deutsch began drawing at the age of five and remained a self-taught artist except for brief periods of study at the Bloom Academy of Art in Riga and at the Kunstgewerbe Schule in Berlin. He immigrated to Seattle, WA in 1916 and, in 1919, settled in Los Angeles. He was soon supporting himself with commercial art and also became a successful movie set designer in Hollywood. During the late 1930s, Deutsch undertook numerous murals for the WPA including for the Hot Springs (NM) Post Office, the Reedley (CA) Post Office, and 11 murals for the Los Angeles Terminal Annex Post Office. A committed modernist, he specialized in genre and figural works and, during the last ten years of his life, experimented with a variety of graphic styles including monotypes. Over the course of a long career, Boris Deutsch exhibited widely and with success including at LACMA, 1926, 1929, 1941; USC, 1926; Calif. Over the course of a long career, Ruth Peabody exhibited widely and with success including at the Panama Pacific Exhibition (1915), Art Institute of Chicago, Oakland Art Gallery (1932)and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (1931) and was the recipient of numerous prizes, medals and juried awards. In 1939, the Fine Arts Gallery of San Diego presented Peabody's abstract works in a solo exhibition, the first show of its kind by a regional artist. Her work is held in private and public collections including the San Diego Museum and Orange County Museum.

An early twentieth-century sugar-lift aquatint showing Zeus in the guise of a swan, reclining and cradling Lida in his wings while King Tyndareus ponders the mutability of human circumstance.
Born in Utica, New York, Arthur Davies attended the Chicago Academy of Design from 1879 to 1882. He furthered his studies at the Chicago Art Institute, before moving to New York City in 1885 where he studied at the Art Students League and Gotham Art Students League. In 1893, he made the first of many trips to Europe, visiting Holland, Paris, and London. He became an arch-exponent of Modernism and the central organizing figure of 1913's watershed Armory Show. Davies developed a style that combined visionary Symbolism with elements of Tonalism and Cubism.
Who Was Who in American Art describes him as an “…important but enigmatic Modernist whose work was poetic, mysterious, and visionary”. Davies was the recipient of many gold medals and prizes and juried awards and his work is held in the permanent collections of museums nationwide, including New York’s Museum of Modern Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Baltimore Museum of Art and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, among others.

The study of art and the history of art are closely intertwined in the work of Gregory Frank Harris which reflects his exploration of technique and art history. Born in southern California, Harris and his twin brother grew up in a family that embraced the visual arts as well as theatre and music. During his stint at California State University in Long Beach, he studied both art and theatre, but also began writing music, which then became his primary focus. Over the next decade, Harris and his brother played piano and drums respectively in a variety of bands, earning their living in the nightclubs and hotels up and down the west coast. The first sign of a new direction appeared while the band was on the road in Spokane, Washington where Harris rekindled his interest in painting.
Like generations of artists before him, Harris turned to the old masters and the impressionist painters as sources for his study of painting. Harris was fortunate to have two of his copies, Rembrandt’s Woman with Pink and Gainsborough’s Blue Boy, selected as props for the 1982 film version of the musical Annie, directed by John Huston.
