A most appealing still life by one of the United Kingdom's foremost contemporary artists. The wonderful array of colours in the fruit set off by the yellow kettle.
Frederick Cuming trained at Sidcup School of Art and then at the Royal College of Art, before being awarded the Abbey Travel Scholarship to visit Italy. He was elected an Associate Member of the Royal Academy in 1964 and a full member ten years later. He exhibited widely and won many awards.
