Larisa was an important painter who lived the last twenty years of her life in Arizona. She was very popular nationally and was a well-known teacher. The body of work she left behind in private collections is significant in its quality, uniqueness and identifiable style. A secondary market for this artist who passed away in 50's in 2018 is already starting to unfold.
“My goal as a painter is to infuse nature around me with spiritual qualities. Everything I observe, whether it is a tree, building, mountain, flower or rock is alive to me. I want to show more than just the obvious beauty in them. I want to show their spiritual nature and how they all combine in harmony. I sometimes carry my initial images with me for months or even years before it becomes a painting. The excitement is the moment I catch the idea!”

"My work may be seen as an open window to other realms. Its visual vocabulary has evolved from years of painting the landscape. I think of nature as a continuous flow of shapes and patterns of energy that has, or more precisely is, an intelligent force. There has been a resurgence in the field of science (especially in physics) that corresponds with the domain of mystics. Matter and energy are interchangeable, all the forces and particles in nature are one, just different ripples on the the ocean of consciousness: a Unified Field.
My process is a journey of exploration of color, light, texture and the poetics of space. A sense of structure is important to me, but I avoid strong divisions. I require a certain ‘fluidity’ where everything is flowing into the next thing. My compositions are infused with an overall light that is all-inclusive. A sort of self generating light rather than one coming from an external source. This doesn’t allow anything to be read as separate from the whole. There is diversity, just like in the natural world, but there is an underlying unity that is apparent.

Enver Ishmametov was born in 1916, Alagulovo, Penza province, Russia. This talented artist gained acceptance into the Moscow Art Institute in 1937 and studied there until his graduation in 1942. He was inducted into the Union of Artists in 1944 and began exhibiting that same year. His important shows included the "All Union Art Exhibition" in Moscow, (1947) and the "All Union Art Exhibitrion" in Moscow, (1951). He participated in numerous regional exhibitions throughout Russia. Additionally, Ishmametov participated in Ministry of Culture Exhibitions in Germany, Japan and Poland. His works may be found in museums in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov and Minsk.
