Though their work has only recently begun to be appreciated, Mike La Mendola and Jack Savage were familiar faces among fashionable high-society back in the 1960's and 70's. They had a celebrity clientele that included Elizabeth Taylor and Rita Hayworth. This gown comes to us from the daughter of the original owner who had the epic piece custom made during a very special trip to Italy. Hundreds of glossy gunmetal silver glass beads and impressive black corded embroidery cover most of the sheer dress in an absolutely stunning large-scale deco floral motif.
