Ashley Hicks founded his London, UK, design studio in 1994, following a couple of years working as an architect with his father, famed interior designer David Hicks. Ashley designs both architecture and residential interiors for private clients in the UK and abroad, and the occasional commercial space. He creates collections of furniture, hardware, fabrics, wallcoverings and carpet, both under his own name and as 'David Hicks by Ashley Hicks.' He wrote the definitive account of his father's 'Life of Design.' He is also something of an artist craftsman, painting murals, carving and gilding tables, and creating sculptures and other art for his interiors. He is a keen instagrammer of both his own work and historic interiors, with the occasional witty chicken, lively Italian greyhound or inappropriately dressed Seal Fancier.
