Artist DL Watson created this light, tropical scene based on her butterfly garden in her south Florida home. Lush greens and cool blues provide a vibrant backdrop for the blossoming white flowers. "This is where I find peace and serenity," says DL.

About the Artist
DL Watson creates semi-abstract paintings with floral and botanical references. Splitting her time between Florida and Oregon, she finds inspiration in the patterns that repeat themselves throughout the natural world. While her paintings are often grounded in her own childhood memories and past experiences, they evoke a beauty that is universal in their natural subject matter. She creates interest and intrigue through the color and movement that she uses to balance her composition.
