Education :
B.Fine (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in 1985 from Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati
M.Fine (Master of Fine Arts) in 1987 from the same institution.
Occupation :
- Assistant Professor in Sculpture Dept., Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati, Santiniketan.
- Vice Principal, Campus, Kala Bhavana, from 2011 to 2013.
- Vice Principal, Administration, Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati, since April 2013.
Participation :
- 1983 - 2008 in Annual Exhibition in the Birla Academy of Art and Culture.
- Eastern Region Art Exhibition organised by Rastriya Lalit Kala Kendra, Calcutta 1990
- 'White Cube' - An Indo-German’ installation and Video workshop organised by Max Mueller Bhavan, Kolkata, 2002.
- National level Bronze Casting Workshop, organized by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, at Jorhat, Assam - 2007.

- Workshop in Bangladesh, Dhaka as part of Academic Exchange Programme 2010-11 with Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University, 22-30 January 2011. Followed by Art Exhibition at Bengal Gallery, Dhaka, 16-21 May 2011.
- International Art Workshop at Rajamangala University of Technology, Rattanakosin, Thailand, from 21-27 January 2013. Exhibition of the same opening on 27th January 2013 at Rajamangala University of Technology.
- International Art Workshop at Naresuan University, Thailand from 27th January to 1st February 2013 followed by an Exhibition at Naresuan University Art Gallery.
- Participated in the 1st Changzhou International Art Workshop and Festival, China, from 4th to 12th October 2013. This was followed by an Exhibition of Art at Baosheng Park, Jintan, China.
