Challenging the boundaries between figuration and abstraction, the artist creates compositions that evoke natural landscapes, in this case a snow-covered summit seen from a distance.
Together with a voluntarily restricted palette of colours - black and white, brown, beige and blue - the artist paints a succession of layers. He gradually brings out the nuances and intensity of light.
