Original vintage Pennsylvania Railroad poster - A luxury fleet featuring newest Pullman refinements at low travel cost! - showing smartly dressed passengers enjoying the inside of a Pullman train carriage with a waiter serving drinks to people seated at a booth table opposite a man smoking a cigar and holding a newspaper next to an elegant lady on the side and two fashionably dressed ladies talking in front of men at a bar at the end of the carriage, the stylised lettering above and below with details of the trains and their service routes - Broadway Limited (1912-1995) / The General (1937-1967) New York Philadelphia Chicago / Spirit of St Louis (1927-1971) New York Philadelphia St Louis / Liberty Limited (1925-1957) Washington Baltimore Chicago / The Pittsburgher (1924-1964) New York Pittsburgh / The Golden Triangle (1938-1966) Pittsburgh Chicago - and the information reading Many types of Pullman private accommodation. Luxury Coaches, Modern Service Sleepers on all but Broadway Limited and The Pittsburgher - all room trains. The Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR or "Pennsy") was founded in 1846, merging with New York Central NYC in 1968 to form the Penn Central Transportation Company. Very good condition, small restored tear at bottom, backed on linen.
