Original vintage British Overseas Airways Corporation travel advertising poster - BOAC Flies To All Six Continents - featuring a planisphere map of the world against a dark blue background with the speedbird logo inside a compass point below the title text and orange lines showing the airline's flight routes and destinations around the world with connecting services and associate carriers listed below: in association with BWIA British West Indian Airways Ltd, Bahamas Airways Ltd, Qantas Empire Airways Ltd, SAA South African Airways and Tasman Empire Airways Ltd. The British Overseas Airways Corporation BOAC was the British state airline created in 1940 by the merger of Imperial Airways (1924-1939) and British Airways Ltd (1935-1939), merging again in 1971-1974 to create British Airways BA. Printed in Great Britain. Beverley Pick Associates. Horizontal. Very good condition, small restored tears, light tape marks, backed on linen.
