About the Item

This is an artwork created by the well known Italian artist Carmelo Cappello. This Carmelo Cappello Abstract Sculpture is a very interesting example of the approach of the artist to the Universe. The artist has considered the Universe not a perfect circle but an irregular cosmic shape that can be observed from many point of view. And every time the point of view has changed. The artwork will be delivered with its Certificate of Authenticity numbered and signed by the artist. This artwork is made in stainless steel and then nickeled finish. The base is made in travertino marble Carmelo Cappello was born in Ragusa, Italy in 1912 and since he was young, he attended artistic studies. In 1941 he became one friends of Giò Ponti and he started to collaborate with him. He exhibited numerous time at the Venice Biennial and at the Milano Triennial. This Carmelo Cappello Abstract Sculpture is one of the 250 specimens edited in 1972 and it's numbered 16/250 as show in the photo Cast nickeled bronze. Italian marble Travertino base.
