Italian Silver Leaf Spiral Mirror
By Roman Erlikh
Located in Clifton Springs, NY
Sculptural mirror in two-tone genuine Italian silver leaf finish. This particular unique finish is produced in collaboration with Van Gregory & Norton gilding shop, but multiple other variants on gilding finish are shown in our pictures; also, any of Wave and Wave II series finishes can be used at customization stage.
Wave series objects invert a narrative of purely utilitarian objects into an artistic interpretation of interplay of color, light, and shadow on organic-based three dimensional forms. Organic, biomorphic shape of the mirror evokes calm and carefully conceived balance of natural and man-made, representing an artistic approach to utilitarian objects. Structural clarity of the shapes of Wave objects...

Square Italian Side Table in Blue Ceramic Tile on Black Metal Frame
Located in London, GB
Tiled side table in stoneware was born out experiments in clay in the mid-20 century in Italy. The bold bright deep blue glazes and geometric patterns emphasize on the irregular brick work formation of the tiles and its gleaming uneven surfaces. The ceramic tiles rest on a square black metal frame. The dense ceramic is fired at high temperature to make it resistant to liquid and therefore more durable than other kinds of pottery. The stoneware tiles were made in the coastal town Albissola widely known for its pottery production. It became a prosperous hub for avant-garde ceramic art and design in the early and mid-20th century. During this period of activity (1929-1963) artist including Lucio Fontana, Wifredo Lam, Piero Manzoni came to produce sculptures and unorthodox household objects...
