Georg Jensen 751 Sterling Silver 6-Branch Candelabra by Harald Nielsen

About the Item

Harald Nielsen's 6-branch Candelabra 751 is part of the Pyramid Collection. The pyramid motif is a distinctive element in many of Harald Nielsen’s most popular designs. First created in 1927, the pyramid motif was born out of the passion for Ancient Egypt that took the world by hold during the Roaring 1920s. Inspired by the 1922 discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb, the style blends the era’s exoticism with the tendency toward stylised lines that was starting to take hold in the design world. Though it is marked by that unique period, Pyramid has transcended a rich history to become timeless. These pieces beautifully illustrate the iconic style of Harald Nielsen and can be seen as the very essence of Art Déco.
