Louis XVI French Mantel Clock by "JUST", C.H. Paris

About the Item

This beautiful vintage French Louis XVI giltwood mantel clock is circa late 1880s. The clock is designed with detailed sculpted symbols of a flaming torch crossed with a quiver of arrows. Additionally, one finds a vine of roses draping along the clock's gesso & wood frame. The gilt color is worn in certain areas, especially in the rear. The clock mechanism is stamped "C.H. Paris, Made in France & bears the "JUST" trademark. The clock face is white enamel with black Arabic numerals & gold filigree hands. The clock is running, but will require a cleaning/service to keep accurate time.
