One of a kind, sitting bear sculpture with colored glass eyes and lots of character.
This early to mid-20th century sitting bear sculpture from Russia (see image 13 & 14) has the most beautiful facial expression and it takes a true artisan to be able to create so much character into a hand-carved sculpture. Especially when taken into account that this is no large sculpture which means you have to get it right the first time. In our view the sculptor has outdone himself, because the natural posture of this sitting bear and especially his wonderful head and face are simply perfect. A great piece for a collector, but also a rare gift for anyone with a passion for bears and/or 'mother' Russia.
