About the Item
Carlos Piñar was born on November 19, 1945 in Las Palmas, Grand Canary Islands, Spain.
He studied Plastic Arts in the Academy of San Fernando of Bellas Artes in Madrid and at age 12 realized his first works; at 16 he mounted his first exposition en the Galería Arte Luz of Madrid.
He realizes his first exposition in the prestigious galley, Avril. Since then, he has realized more than 30 individual showings in Mexico, the United States and in Spain.
His work is found in diverse private collections: Princess of Spain, Teresa de Baviera; Placido Domingo; Palomma San Basilio; Jaime Noguera; Emilio Azacárraga; Jean Sorel; Ana María Ferrero; Miguel Alemán Valdez; Manolo Fernandez; Gela Chedraui; Eugenio Lopez; Dante Delgado; Rafael Herrerías; Karla Estrada; Oscar del Toro; Bernardino Avalos; Liliana Abud; Silvia Pinal Verónica Castro; etc.
Carlos’ work is on permanent public display in the most important avenue of Mexico City: Insurgentes at the corner of Felix Cuevas; in the foyer of Price Waterhouse and Coopers of Polanco; Tlalnepantla, Toluca; and recently in Vista Hermosa, Cuernavaca.
