Blue Vase Amphora Vessel Hand Painted Ornament Handles Renaissance Style Deruta

About the Item

Majolica amphora made and painted by hand, following the original Renaissance painting technique. This sumptuous vase is characterized by the elegant presence of naturalistic ornamental motifs that cleverly emphasize the various parts of the vase, such as the foot riser, shoulder and neck. Zoomorphic elements stand out against the blue background of the amphora's body in a sinuous pattern that, together with the two coiled serpents that make up the handles, contribute to livening and embellishing the object. Dimensions: Width: 28 cm (11 in.), Depth: 16cm (6.30 in.), Height: 40cm (15.75 in.) Colors: Deruta blue, copper green, yellow, orange, vanadium, maroon/reddish brown The beauty of a deBlona majolica is determined by the ancient process, unchanged over time and handmade, which we observe to the letter in the creation of our artworks: painting ceramics is a very complex, fascinating and insidious art, but it is precisely the human and imperfect sign that makes every piece so characteristic and totally unique. deBlona's essence is represented by the interpretation of the color and by an unrepeatable taste, with which we want to give new chromatic emotions. Majolica accompanies the history of mankind, telling its existence for centuries: here, in our Atelier, we want to keep on narrating our time.
