Vase Potiche Jar Lid Decorated Ornament Decorative Majolica Total White Vessel

About the Item

This splendid potiche vase is handmade and hand-painted in Italy, following the original Renaissance painting technique, unchanged over time, which we observe to the letter. It is finely decorated with a delicate ornament based on neutral tones of white, configured as a precious and refined lace: obtained from a skillful combination of the white cerium color on a white stone background, the basic decorative texture is characterized by the typical peacock feather motif deriving from the Deruta tradition, which covers almost the entire surface of the jar. This elegant motif is interrupted and replaced by another ornament obtained with the same neutral shades of white, which embellishes the vase near the shoulder and in the lid, re-proposing the characteristic decorative theme of the classic Renaissance foliage. The peculiar feature of our beautiful potiche is represented by the delicacy of its decorations, almost invisible to the eye if the observer is not close to the vase, making the latter extremely elegant and perfect to adorn a contemporary interior. COLORS: cerium oxide on white stone background. Visit our storefront to discover the whole deBlona collection. The beauty of a deBlona majolica is determined by the ancient process, unchanged over time and handmade, which we observe to the letter in the creation of our artworks: painting ceramics is a very complex, fascinating and insidious art, but it is precisely the human and imperfect sign that makes every piece so characteristic and totally unique. deBlona's essence is represented by the interpretation of the color and by an unrepeatable taste, with which we want to give new chromatic emotions. Majolica accompanies the history of mankind, telling its existence for centuries: here, in our Atelier, we want to keep on narrating our time.
