Two Mid-20th Century French Hand Painted Faience Wall Plates from Brittany

About the Item

Decorate a shelf or a wall with these colorful antique decorative plates from Brittany, France. Crafted circa 1930, each faience plate has handles and features a hand painted centre crest. The plates are further embellished with floral decor around the perimeter. Each plate has a large crest with a crown in the centre, one crest is held by two lions while the other has foxes holding the crest. Both ceramic plates are in excellent condition and have a rich color palette with shades of blue, red and yellow. The plates are signed Bretagne on the back. Measures: 10" diameter.
