An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver bachelor spirit kettle; an addition to our antique silver teaware collection. This antique Edwardian sterling silver spirit kettle has a plain circular tapering form. The body of the bachelor kettle is plain and unembellished. This antique silver kettle is fitted with a plain domed hinged hallmarked cover which retains the original wood and sterling silver topped finial. This fine example of antique teaware is fitted with a scrolling sterling silver handle with impressive lobed pendant drop decorated sockets in junction with the kettles shoulders. The centre of the handle features the original and impressive turned wood handpiece, securing with hallmarked ball style terminals. The kettle detaches from the original hallmarked sterling silver stand, supported by four impressive tapering legs and lobed feet. The stand incorporates a plain frame which retains the original hallmarked detachable spirit burner, incorporating a hinged snuffer. The underside of the kettle bears the volume marker '1 pt' in addition to the registration number '71588'. Condition This antique bachelor spirit kettle is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The interior of the kettle has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the kettle and underside of the stand and spirit burner, in addition to the part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear.
