About the Item

Vega is the latest family in the evolution of the Flexus series by Baroncelli. Flexus is a lighting system that comprises a palette of abstracted lines, curves and circles. Echoing the language of Modernist modular thinking, it captures the desire to deconstruct the superfluous. The resulting simplicity allows countless interconnections and Formations. The vast potential of the series is increased with every new element added. Vega sees the introduction of a sandblasted sphere to create an entirely fresh aesthetic. The glass sphere is wrapped in satin gold rings that hold a concealed Low Voltage LED strip. This 2700k light source is further warmed up by reflection off the golden surfaces, and then diffused and refracted across and through the surface of the entire globe. At 7W per pendant, the Vega is an energy efficient Luminaire. Vega is a versatile piece that can be used individually but is impactful when installed in multiples. As with the whole series, this visual language based on rhythm and composition can be playfully used, adapted and enriched by all. The overall drop can be adjusted onsite up to 200cm, and it is supplied with ceiling canopy Ø170 (6.75”) or flush mounted ceiling plate Ø100 (4”) and 2000mm (80”) of cable. For fixing, a ceiling bracket with two fixing slots is provided (fixings not included). The ceiling bracket is suitable for use with a 3.5” octagonal junction box. Please ensure the fixings and junction box are suitable to carry its weight indicated below. A flush mounted ceiling plate with two fixing holes (screws provided) does not cover the junction box.
