Wall Lamp Paavo Tynell Taito Oy Kalmar Style Brass Cane Wood Shade 1950s Sconce
About the Item
Amazing Scandinavian / Austrian wall lamp in Paavo Tynell Taito Oy / Kalmar style, circa 1955. The height and side adjustable wall lamp with string switch has a solid patinated brass base with movable arm for multiple light positions and a beautiful handmade refurbished tube lamp shade made of thin wood stripes which are woven together. The sophisticated sconce takes one E27 bulb to illuminate. Wiring and switch are perfect so the light is fine working and ready to use. The lamp shade has a width of 12 cm / 4.72 inches and it is 19 cm / 7.48 inches tall including patinated brass screw handle. The lamp base is 15 x 4 cm / 5.91 x 1.57 inches tall and wide, the maximum radius from the wall including lamp shade is 28 cm / 11.02 inches deep. This beauty stays in very good vintage condition, minor wear consistent with age and use and is midcentury design at its best.
