Paavo Tynell & Taito Oy - Scandinavian Modern A rare and beautiful pair of Paavo Tynell brass wall lights, Finland, 1950s. Model 9459 wall lights for Taito Oy. Signed with impressed manufacturer's mark to shade of each example. These wall lights are rare and beautifully executed in brass with patina. Shade can be adjusted up and down and brass stem can be moved side to side as well as. This makes them very useful for e.g. bedside lamps. Very good vintage condition with patina. Literature: Idman, manufacturer's catalogue, unpaginated. Price is for the pair. Condition:

Rewired. Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. The lamps have patina with sign og age and use. Slight scratches. The brass can be polished up to be very shiny. I prefer that the brass has a slight patina to see the originality of the lamp rather than a new edition lamp. A collector's item.
