Midcentury Bamboo and Brass Umbrella Stand, Austria, 1950s
About the Item
This beautiful oval umbrella stand was made in Austria in the 1950s. The exceptional design reminds of items by Carl Auböck, Hagenauer, Josef Frank or JT Kalmar.
The stand is made of bamboo and brass and has got a removeable bronzed oval bowl to catch the rain. Although all the brass pieces have been polished the material has still got a fantastic warm patina of age. A very rare piece.
