Pair of Midcentury Italian Brass Armchairs in the Style of Pier Luigi Colli

About the Item

A Pair of Italian midcentury side chairs that look like they came out of a fairy tale book. These vintage chairs differ from the Classic Chiavari-style side chairs as they are equipped with armrests, rare elements to find, and for the less linear and much more decorative design. The upper parts of these Brass Chairs are enlivened by arabesques and curls but the decorative triumph is in the front legs, chiseled with decorative themes typical of the Roccoco and Baroque style, such as shells, flowersand arabesques. The shiny and gilded surface makes them perfect for a Hollywood Regency Style Interiors; we have combined this luminous surface with new velvet upholstery, in a vibrant Orange colour. The armchairs are in good vintage conditions, the structure was polished with a specific product for brass and the upholstery replaced by a professional.

Midcentury Travertine Ashtray in the Style of Fratelli Mannelli, Italy, 1970s
By Fratelli Mannelli
Located in Roma, IT
Sculptural Ashtray attributable to the historic company Fratelli Mannelli, specialized in the processing of travertine. Known for its collaboration with the designer Enzo Mari, who designed a series of stylized travertine animals, this Manifcaturer has also produced many other furnishing elements such as ashtrays, coffee tables and lamps. The ashtray that we offer for design and material seems to be part of this vast production of this manufacturer. The ashtray has a classic quadrangular shape but the distinctive element that distinguishes it and makes it more similar to a sculpture than a simple ashtray is in the handmade carved elements. There is a small central basin that connects with those created to be able to place the cigarettes laterally, but above all the lines that intersect each other as in a sound sculpture by Pinuccio Sciola.
