Master Cabinet in Teak by Marianne Von Münchow
About the Item
Cabinet designed by Marianne von Münchow. Made by Master cabinetmaker, possibly at Sala Möbelfabrik. Made mostly of solid teak: doors, legs and sides. Incredibly well made with a lot of attention to detail. Carved pattern in doors and sides, joinery in the doors, solid integrated legs with runners etc. The inside of the drawers in solid teak as well. Back part with teak veneer as well. Good vintage condition with some age related wear and patina.
Münchow was hired as an interior architect at David Blomberg between 1942-1947. Blombergs company Sala Möbelfabrik is most likely the manufacturer of the cabinet.
