Painting "Luz" by Mario Arlati, 2007

About the Item

"Luz" Mario Arlati, 2007. Mixed technique on canvas. Dimensions: cm 170 x 150 in 66.70 x 59.06. Mario Arlati Biography, birth 1947. Mario Arlati was born in Milan in 1947. His studies were irregular, but his artistic formation was completed at the School of Art at the Sforzesco Castle in Milan. His first works of art are in figurative style, but in the 1970s he discovers a new meaning and inspiration in the island of Ibiza, one of the Balearic Islands. Since then, Mario Arlati lives and works in Ibiza for many months of the year and his work clearly testifies of the direction his artistic evolution has taken. From the figurative, Arlati in fact, has developed the use of informal material following the teaching of the Spanish school. His ‘walls’ are representative of Ibiza’s sunny landscape and of the mutual symbiosis created between man and nature. The continuous activity of the artist, inspired by the sun, the wind and the sea gives life to unique works of art. Bibliography: Manuela Gandini, Galleria Due Mondi, Milano, 1982.
