A large oil painting on canvas of an interior scene of mother and daughter in front of a fireplace doing needlework. The warm tones from the fire reflected on them creates an intimate mood. The elaborate giltwood frame is original. The painting has been recently cleaned and re-screached on fresh linen canvas. Signed Marteli in the lower corer.
