“The Great Black Cloud”, Original Etching by Kerr Eby

About the Item

This rare & wonderfully preserved vintage etching by Kerr Eby is a depiction of the World War 1, September 13, 1918 battle of St. Mihiel. The powerful etching captures the immensity of the struggle of these troops under an enormous black cloud. The etching is signed, double matted & beautifully framed. The glass is intact. There is no foxing &/or discoloration. Condition is excellent. In addition to the hand signed artist’s signature, “ed. 100” is signed on the primary matting. A wonderful offering to students &/or collectors of rare World War 1 historical representations.
