Blue Straw & Silk Flower Hat, 1950's

About the Item

1950's blue straw hat fully decorated with silk flowers covered with netting and a ruby red velvet band. The charming look is reminiscent of Eliza Doolittle or Mary Poppins. Designed by Beachurst Original of New York. CONDITION The straw body is in good vintage condition though the flowers show signs of age with some fading and discoloration to the daisy as shown in photograph 12. MEASUREMENTS Measures 20.5" circumference at the inner grosgrain rim. The brim measures 1.5" deep at the front tapering to 1" deep at the back. The crown has a 2.25" rise with 6" to the center crown. When looking down at the hat, it measures 10.5" front to back and 9" from side to side.
