About

A stunning piece of haute couture, this ivory silk coat was designed during Antonio Castillo’s time at the house of Lanvin. The silk is cut to create a wide swing shape, and with no fastenings, the coat can be worn open to reveal the outfit underneath. The bracelet length sleeves and pockets on the hip give the coat a contemporary feel, while the collar, embellished with rhinestones, wooden flowers and gold beading, adds a touch of sparkle making the coat perfect for special occasions such as a wedding.

Jeanne Lanvin established the house of Lanvin in 1890 as a milliner, however by 1909 the clothing she designed for her daughter was proving so popular that she embarked upon women’s wear. A leading light in Parisian haute couture, Jeanne Lanvin died in 1946 and the house of Lanvin has seen Antonio Castillo, Herve Leger and Claude Montana as its Creative Directors before Alber Elbaz took to the helm in 2002.
