1979 Oscar De La Renta Dress as Seen in Vogue

This stunning silk wrap halter dress was photoed for a Vogue editorial in 1979 (see last photo). It was also the dress showcased on Vogue's website in their exclusive announcement of our Oscar de la Renta capsule collection! The silk is very light weight it has a brilliant abstract floral print screened onto it. The colors pop against the off white base! All the edges are finished with green silk ans I love this contrast. It wraps and hooks to close and you feel sort of scandalous in it - like with a flick of the wrist it can slide off when you wish. The belt of course keeps this from happening and I love how the ends are finished with those huge panted wood pieces. The front plunges and the skirt is cut to show off your leg when you move. Its amazing, sexy and an important documented piece of Oscar de la Renta. Excellent condition.

Unlined and wraps to close with interior hook and eye and snaps to secure. The belt is original to the dress and in excellent condition.
