A fantastic museum-quality Egyptian assuit hammered metal cotton-net dress dating back to the early 1930's. Egyptian fashion was all the rage during the 1920's and 1930's with the discovery of King Tut's tomb. Garments made out of this fabric was luxury commodity. These shawls were traditionally a cream color and were draped over a bride at her wedding as they held great monetary value being adorned with the precious metal. Imagine the wealth of a lady who wore a garment fully made from this rare texture. The early 1930's Egyptian cotton is a rich black/darkest brown net with dramatic ruby-red trim.
