Gorgeous sleeveless full length empire maxi dress by world renowned designer, Stephen Burrows. Stephen Burrows is an American fashion designer based in New York City, known for being one of the first African-American fashion designers to sell internationally and develop a mainstream, high-fashion clientele. His garments, known for their bright colors and "lettuce hem" curly-edges, became an integral part of the disco-dancing scene of the 1970s. Burrows was one of the five American designers to show at the iconic Versailles battle in 1973 when the Americans went up against the French couturiers. Throughout his career has been awarded 3 Cody awards. This dress features long layers of lovely lime green silk chiffon fall over olive matte jersey with abstract shape appliqués made of metallic leather and multi-colored taffeta. The dress has a flattering gathered cowl neckline, keyhole racerback and invisible zipper. This dress is both playful and elegant with its flowing train. Labeled “Size: 6” with plenty of stretch due to the fabric. Materials: Jersey Knit, silk chiffon, taffeta, metallic leather.
