Exquisite Pierre Balmain Haute-Couture embroidered eyelet silk organza and velvet gown dating back to his opulent 1973 fall/winter collection. This iconic designer created a very sculptural quality which was always allied with a ladylike essence. His garments have a body and a shape of their own. This absolutely stunning dress is fashioned from the most luxurious materials and of the finest craftsmanship. The seductive cut-out bodice with lean, long zipper-wrist sleeves adds the perfect amount of drama to this timeless piece. I adore the back covered-button detailing. An optional satin sash belt can be used for more of a nipped-waist look. The light volumous skirting with tons of hand craftmanship finished this masterpiece off with the wonderful high-fashion vibe. The pictures say it all.

This 1973 Pierre Balmain Haute-Couture numbered gown is in excellent condition with no rips, stains or holes. The inside is immaculate, lined and all hand-finished. Perfectly working back handset metal zipper. Only sign of age is some minor rub to the silk-velvet. Highly wearable museum quality garment and an investment piece that will continue to increase in value.
