About the Item

This wonderful 1950's pink tulle petticoat skirt, is the perfect piece to add texture to your vintage wardrobe, or alternatively worn beneath a dress for added volume. The fitted and pleated peach rayon waistband, draws in along the back of the skirt with hook and eye fastenings, beneath a decorative large rayon bow with long length ribbon trims. The pleated and gathered tulle, in two layers, drapes from the base of the waistband along the length of the skirt. Finished with a peach rayon lining. Label: None Measurements of the Skirt Waist: 25 inches Waist to Hem: 37.5 inches Hips: 42 inches Size: UK 4-6 US 0-2 Closures: This skirt fastens to the back with a 5.5 inch metal zip and two hook and eyes. Condition: This skirt is in good but not perfect vintage condition. Colour variation and colour bleed along the lengths of the rayon ribbon trim to the back of the skirt. Light and gentle colour variation to the Rayon waistband, this appears lighter in some areas. The tulle overlays have had a few mends, these appear in the form of stitches done in a sympathetic shade of pink. Two small holes to the top tulle layer. These minor issues are not apparent when the skirt is being worn as they are well concealed within the drape of the tulle. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
