Brown Tweed Sheared Mink Trim Camelot Skirt Suit with Standing Collar- S, 1960s
About the Item
Brimming with luxurious details like powder-soft sheared mink, a Balenciaga-style stand-away collar and a matching cap sleeve top, this Camelot-era stunner is nothing short of a time bomb. Hand-finished and lined in supple silk crêpe, it would be just as beautiful turned inside-out. You simply cannot take your eyes off it.
Three-piece caramel and black exploded tweed suit including jacket, skirt and cap sleeve shell. Jacket features cropped, boxy construction and wide stand-away collar trimmed around full circumference with 3 ½” of black sheared mink; frog button front closure with couture snap and fur hook at neck. Fully lined in black lacquered satin. Matching A-line skirt with plain 1” waistband, side pockets and sheared mink trim at hemline; interior hanging loops and side zipper closure with 3 hooks and eyes at waist. Black double knit wool shell features cap sleeves, full princess seams front and back, and coordinating matching 1 ½” tweed band at neckline; full rear metal zipper with 2 hooks and eyes at rear neck. Skirt and shell fully lined in black silk crèpe.
