Elegant Jay Strongwater Polychrome Enamel Candelabra with Pomegranate and Flora
About the Item
Bejeweled candelabra with a pomegranate, flower and leaf motif from the Jay Strongwater "Jewels for the Home" Collection has exquisite subtle coloration and holds three candles. Handmade and hand-painted cast metal candle holder features colorful polychrome enamel work and a Swarovski crystal encrusted insect on one of the pomegranates. Hallmarked on the bottom with "Jay Strongwater" copyrighted logo.
Genuine estate candleholder was never used. Made in the USA.
Measures 11" high x 9" wide x 8.5" deep. Diameter of candleholder openings is 1". Each candle holder opening features a small spike to hold the candle in place.
Jay Strongwater is known for high fashion home furnishings and jewelry that is elegant and vividly bejeweled. His career began while he was still a student at the Rhode Island School of Design. At age 23, he met Oscar de la Renta and began to collaborate with de la Renta on jewelry designs for runway shows. By 1998, Strongwater's "Jewels for the Home Collection" supplanted his fashion business. Jay Strongwater is sold at Neiman Marcus and found in the collections of some of the most beautiful homes in the world.
