Very Large Buddha seated in Bhumisparsa mùdra, or gesture of taking the earth as witness.
Buddha calls the earth goddess to witness that he has definitively overcome the fears and temptations sent by Mara, the demon of illusion, under the Bodhi tree.
Bronze, black lacquer, gold leaf.
Wear and tear, and casting accidents at the back bottom.
Style of the Rattanakosin kingdom, 4th and current reigning power in the history of Thailand, created in 1782.
