Mid Century Chinoiserie Illuminated Verre Eglomise Frames
About the Item
Pair of Mid Century Chinoiserie Illuminated Verre Eglomise Frames from the 1940's. A pair of Asian Nobles are beautifully reverse painted on mirror and set into a dimensional frame. There are fluorescent tube lights on top and bottom edge of each frame.
These lights/wiring would need to be replaced as they are not in good condition. They can now easily be replaced now with an LED strip inside and can even be used with remote controls as the period wiring is no longer working.
The black and gold painted frame lifts away from the back panel with painted mirror. The tube lights can be removed, and the side channels can have hidden wiring easily removed as well. It allows for the LED strip to to inserted around the entire perimeter of panel to light the way it was designed to work.
Super cool, kitchy California decor from the 1940's, great for a bar or a dark moody interior. When the lights are replaced, these would be amazing with no hard wiring. 1940's USA. Each 19" x 16.75" x 2.75".
